Before making a purchase online, it is important to ensure that the store is legally registered in France and has the right to sell online.
You can verify this using the INSEE's national business and establishment directory (SIRENE) , via the Business Directory on data.gouv.fr:

A practical guide to checking a shop
- Take the SIRET number indicated in the legal notices of the shop.
- Go to the official directory and paste the SIRET number into the search bar.
- Check the information displayed:
- Company name *
- Address of the head office or establishment *
- SIREN/SIRET number
- APE/NAF code indicating the main activity.
* Their information may be hidden in the directory. Regarding Fourmitures, I chose to be hidden for fear of unsolicited calls or scam attempts; however, this information must be included in the legal notices.
