💧 Control humidity with precision

Humidifying the shielded tubes is very effective, but requires patience to avoid flooding:

1. The rule of thirds: Never heat/humidify all the tubes at the same time (except for tropical species with very high needs). Always leave some areas dry.
2. The 3ml + 3ml method: Use a pipette and gently inject 3 ml. Wait for the water to spread into the sand, then add another 3 ml if needed.
3. The visual indicator: Observe the shielding. When it is wet, it changes color . This is your signal to stop filling.
4. Patience: Especially the first time, go little by little and wait 30 seconds between each addition of water.

📏 Choose your format

Adapt the nest to the size of your worker bees:

• 15mm Pack: With 15 x 150 mm tubes (Ideal for Lasius, Pheidole ...).
• 18mm Pack: With 18 x 180 mm tubes (Ideal for Messor, Camponotus ...).

💡 My Expert Advice: For the 18mm pack , the opening to the foraging area measures 10mm. If you are raising very large species (like Camponotus ligniperda ), I advise you to install the queen directly in the tube before clipping it to the module.
